Dear Reader:
Our successful fact-finding expedition to Israel in March 2012 has encouraged me to lead another group. It is my pleasure to invite you to join me on a visit to Cyprus on October 13 - 21, 2013. Planned in conjunction with Heritage Study Programs (which organized the 2012 Israel expedition) and the Thucydides Think Tank (which hosted me in Cyprus in 2011), we will explore the swirl of issues surrounding Cyprus and its new role in the Middle East.
We will travel to towns (Nicosia, Limasol, Famagusta, Kyrenia) and to the mountains and beaches. In addition to my analysis throughout the week about this region and the Middle East, you will hear from local policymakers, business leaders, journalists, and academics from both the Greek and Turkish sides of Cyprus as well as select Israeli specialists.
